We started with salad with salami and cheese and it was fine. We then had to wait for 45 minutes for our main dishes to arrive. We had Tagliatelle Bolognese that was overcooked and the portion was very small. We also had Salsiccia pizza with a tasteless homemade sausage and a soft crust. We will not come back. More

The pizza is very good, as you would expect. They cook all the pizza in a wood burning oven, which gives it that great Neapolitan flavor. The Tricolore salad is tasty and a generous portion. I've also ordered the Pollo al mattone, which was a delicious, juicy chicken dish. Highly Recommended. More

I particularly enjoyed the last few visits to this restaurant. The wait staff was friendly and helpful, the food was tasty, and the ambiance was pretty nice. Although it could have be less noisy, the overall ambience provides a nice backdrop to the gourmet pizza. Other optionens on the menu ar just OK. That Said, for th price, Ortica makes... More

Being in Costa Mesa for business and coming from Italy, Sometimes I feel the need for an italian lunch. I went to the Ortica with a colleague of mine after work and we had a pizza and some starters I really don't remember. The service is good and the palce is really nice and conveniently located near the airport. The... More

I just had a fantastic dinner at Pizzeria Ortica. I had reservations, so when I arrived, I was greeted with smiles and got seated within 10 minutes. I had enough time to grab a drink at their very active bar. Folks at the bar were either regulars or acting like regulars. They seemed familiar with the restaurant and were enjoying... More

The pizza was soggy, flavorless except for an abundance of salt and served at room temperature. It was a great disappointment. We also ordered the taglietteli Bolognese which was the most unappetizing loking dish dish that I have been served in quite a while. A small portion of green noodles with brown globs of meat has no eye appeal and... More

Food quite good but the noise level will have you shouting to be heard. Artichoke antipasto lovely; skewered lamb a tad tough, pizza (with sausage) a good choice though a bit soggy in the middle. Up to the diner to choose wisely here! Pick a topping not likely to weigh down a lovely thin crisp crust. Linear layout with a... More

I wanted to love this place. It looks cool. It has a very interesting menu. The staff were friendly. I won't return. All I wanted was an edible pizza, like I get in 99% of places. We have a three year old so we eat a lot of pizza; fancy pizza, Pizza Hut, pizza buffets, pizzas al fresco in sun... More

We've dined here several times and have found the overall experience to be wonderful every time. We were there again for dinner recently and ordered the L'Italo Americana salad and split it (its large), one alla Norma pizza, one Prosciutto di Parma e rucola pizza and J Lohr Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon wine. Both pizzas were very good but we... More
