I am a fan of Sheerwater but ate here recently when I couldnt get a table. The menu is similar but briefer, the service just as good.

We had lunch at the Babcock & Story restaurant. It cost us $47.00, not including a tip, for 2 lunches and 1 glass of ice tea. The salads were good but the soup was awful! You are paying for eating at the Del Coronado, not the food.

This bar is located in the Hotel Del Coronado, on Coronado Island (San Diego) This is such a fun place to hang out; whether you are staying in the hotel or not. It can get really busy on weekend but that is part of the fun. Service is good and there is some seating outside with umbrellas for the day... More

Luke was our server and did a great job! My wife has severe allergy issues. Luke took the time to discuss with the chef what my wife could have....they sourced the chicken for her salad from the main kitchen in the hotel....since their kitchen had used a sauce that would have caused her issues. That type of attention to detail... More

For a place that is suppose to be "All THAT" it was not all that. Except for Luke. The cheese plates with the pears and the heirloom tomatoes were great. I expect perfection in a place like this. The drinks were expensive and we had to send the Martini back because it was watery. The Marilyn Martini was OK, but... More

As a traveller I know I'm always looking for that location that really makes a great memory. In San Diego, that place is the patio of Babcock and Story. Picture the sun just above the horizon, maybe 20 minutes before setting into the crashing waves of the ocean as you sip your glass of Pinot Grigio. Now add to that... More

You can find anything you want here from kitchen items to seaside collectables. Just love it and the prices are pretty reasonable.

The goat cheese & pesto appetizer with warm bread. AMAZING!!! Drinks are weak and the place is loud but the food is worth going.

Didn't notice that the Starbucks coffee was that much more expensive, but the pastries were insanely expensive. Pretty much the resort prices that you would expect. Would definitely agree with others that the short walk up the road to Cafe 1134 is totally worth it.

Instead of paying $4 for a Starbucks latte you pay $7. Just because its in the Hotel. Pass on it and get way better coffee and service down the street at Cafe 1134 on Orange. Or if you insist on drinking Charbucks walk a few blocks down lovely Orange street and get the regular prices.
