We were recommended to the Mission Ranch and had a nice meal, enjoying a table on the patio. We started inside and asked to move outside. The tables are a bit close, in and out, not offering much in the way of ambiance, but if you don't mind sharing your experience with those around you and can relax and go... More

We stopped at Mission Ranch for an early dinner before hitting our hotel in Big Sur. Sitting outside, the views were fantastic - the restaurant overlooks sheep grazing and the ocean crashing and they have these great rocking chairs that sit out on the edge of the terrace. In retrospect, we should have had some drinks out there and then... More

We went to Mission Ranch on a Sunday and arrived at 4pm. The restaurant starts to serve at 5pm so we sat at the bar for an hour after we put our name in. It was a good thing we did because the place got busy in a hurry! We were seated outside next to the fireplace so we were... More

At dusk, the river and ocean can be seen across the sheep-grazed pasture from the heated patio seating at Mission Ranch Restaurant. The service is friendly, attentive and has helpful dinner selection recommendations. Pleasant dining experience with friends or business associates. Unique experience.

We just had a very pleasant evening at the Mission Ranch Restaurant. We were seated in the back room, away from the piano bar. No, Mr. Eastwood didn't drop in while we were there, but the staff was courteous and the mero sea bass was excellent. We usually don't have dessert, but I had the apple pie while my wife... More

The food was fabulous and the service was outstanding. If the weather isn't too cold and/or windy you can dine outside overlooking a green pasture. Due to the weather we had to eat inside in the room with the piano player and the bar which was way too loud & noisy for my taste. It wasn't until we left that... More

Visited this place with some friends and had a marvelous time. I am a local and don't get to dine there very often. It was a Saturday evening and they don't take reservations (it was super busy). We got the last table for 3ppl at 5:30pm. We sat indoors, however they have an outdoor patio that opens at 4pm daily.... More

Before we were even seated, Clint Eastwood walked right by me, so it was difficult for them to do any wrong from this point. Even so, my Prime Rib was not great. Even so, everyone else in our group really enjoyed their meal. The setting is beautiful with outside dinning, we sat inside the first time, plentiful heaters and a... More

Our group of 10 just "dropped in". They were very accommodating. We sat outside in the patio which has the most amazing views: on one side a green field full of lambs on the other the blue ocean. They had heaters so we were very comfortable. The food was nothing extraordinary but it is so worthy! If only for the... More

This is a comfortable restaurant with a lovely view of sheep in the fields and in the distance the ocean. The food is basic food prepared nicely. I would recommend the prime rib, best thing on the menu. The patio is lovely to be seated at but can be very cool and windy. When you first enter their bar, look... More
