I have lived here a long time and Arts is close to the hotels and thats about it. The food is average at best. The service is terrible in the dinning area the bar area is better. Art is nice and always there but his workers are slow and rude.

I recently was working in the Burney Area and have eaten at the Outpost on several occasions. I eat in the Bar because the prices are better. But the young girl that is the waitress can have a real attitude. On my last visit I ordered a sandwich with fries. I dared to ask for a fork. Did I get...

We were staying across the road at the Charm Motel. A quick walk across the street took us to what I considered an old fashioned local roadhouse type joint. The service was good and the food quite good. I had ravioli with a marinara sauce. It came with soup or salad. The soup being ministrone or clam chowder I could...

I had the blackened salmon and it was delicious. They had it as a salad special but accommodated me when I asked for it to be a dinner with potato and veggies instead. Very well prepared. The hubby had a 15 ounces prime rib that he said was good. We had a few mosquitoes and a fly or two around...

Art and his crew make you feel at home the moment you walk in - their food is AMAZING and the ambience is wonderful. We always take out of town guests to dinner there or at the Rex
The first time I visited Art's Outpost by myself, one of the servers ask me to wait for the owner who was serving drinks at the bar. When I asked to be seated, he told me that I would have a 10 minute wait even though there were at least 4 to five tables empty. He then went back to...

I lived in Burney last year and started going to Art's to socialise with colleagues after work. The steaks are amazing! In fact, all the food was great. Art is so friendly and all the staff were very helpful. My mother came to visit from England and we took her here and she loved the food. Great location as well.
Wow a hidden gem. They were lined up out the door when we arrive next door at the Shasta Pines motel so we thought we’d try it out. The service was fun, the portions and quality of the blackened salmon salads were amazing. A great place to sit and relax with a big glass of wine at the end of...

We also stayed across the road in Burney and were very happy to find a better restaurant to treat ourselves to dinner at. Partner had the Prime Rib which he loved. I chose a Chicken Pasta dish with a creamy sauce which unfortunately was a bad choice for someone with gb issues, but I don't fault the chef! We would...

When we plan a trip to get away from civilization we do so expecting that food and lodging choices will be iffy at best. So we were quite pleased when we stayed in Burney, CA and walked across the street to Art's Outpost. The motif is rustic with wood walls and ceiling. table coverings were a black and red faux...
