Description: La Dolce Vita opened its' doors in Beverly Hills in 1966. The biggest celebrities in the world lived only moments away, and La Dolce Vita literally became their second home for decades to come. Regulars included the Sinatras, the Reagans, the Pecks, the Douglases, and the Bloomingdales. It hosted every sitting US President since the Kennedy administration, and was known as a haven for titans of industry and finance. Deals were made with a handshake, and everyone was certain to arrive on Thursdays for Osso Bucco. Now, La Dolce Vita moves to the future, following a seven month 'facelift,' during which the restaurant was restored to its' original pristine condition, reprieving the original menu, recipes, and decor. La Dolce Vita arrives once again as a popular dining and entertainment destination, now home to young Hollywood and those seeking the traditional cuisine of Italy. Once again a Los Angeles classic, with regulars arriving on Thursdays for the infamous Osso Bucco.

Good Restaurant - the appetizers were excellent - main course was good. Service was obviously by an aspiring actor, for whom serving a restaurant patron was slightly beneath her dignity. Not bad, just did not feel like she was serving a partron, rather just another table on her road to fame celebrity in the movies. Ah, Beverly Hills. More

This really is a treat to go to an old school place like this! Notice the waiters even bring out the food in pans and plate the food near the tables in the dinning room. The booths are great the food was decent. I like the vibe here. I would go again. More

Ate here with a small party of 3 for a friend's birthday. Normally, I would choose something less expensive, but for the special occasion, a special venue was in order. We received excellent service and the feel of the restaurant was cozy and exclusive, with a relaxed elegant vibe. However, my pasta dish was far from the most delicious Italian... More

Like the the title says. Food was mediocre but killer crowd and lighting. I would say come here for drinks or just dessert. You get the benefits of being there without any of the expensive food! More

We visit Beverly Hills at least six times a year, and since discovering this little gem, La Dolce Vita, we always eat there. The food is incredibly tasty - a mix and genuine Italian and Continental. This is an old-time Hollywood atmosphere. Fabulous booths, dark inside - you can just "feel" the presence of all the stars who have graced... More

The food was ok not that great but the zucchini was burnt and the filet mignon was dry, The place was a little small and dark and parking was horrendous. More

I travel to S. California a couple of times a year to visit family. I've eaten at La Dolce Vita many times as it is a family favorite. The best part of LDV is that it doesn't try to be anything it is not -- and what it is is a good, old fashioned fancy dinner place. Read leather booths,... More

I love La Dolce Vita, which means "the sweet life" in Italian - indeed! The management is extremely attentive, as are the waiters, and the food is wonderful. I see the gripes about the prices, but folks, this is 90210! Were you expecting Denny's? The booths, the linens, the bar, the decor, the lighting all harken back to a less... More

The restaurant's price is high, but may worthwhile for a special occasion. We went there and look forward to a special anniversary, but we were disappointed. First the food was not of good quality, incomparable to the price they charge. And second, service was really rude, never experienced such for a good restaurant. Their management should really change! More
