We happend upon this place while walking in the gourmet guetto, what a find, like walking back in time. Old style deli with all the favorites, pastrami sandwiches, matzo ball soup, latkes, you name it they had it. Nice atmosphere, attentive service with a smile, If your in the neighborhood don't miss it.

I think these are the best bagels, outside the five boroughs bar none. I also like the fact the all food is source within 50 miles.

I almost always get the pastrami with a cup of matzo ball soup. I'm never disappointed. My wife first ordered the corned beef, but now she also gets the pastrami. We enjoyed the smoked fish plate, but always go back to pastrami for lunch.

I found Sauls using this app and was extremely pleased. Four of us had dinner, one a hamburger, one a salad, one chopped chicken livers and one falafel plate. All of us were very pleased! The food was excellent. If you want a sample of all Mediterranean appetizers, I strongly recommend the falafel plate.

As options for dining out were quite limited on New Year's Day in that area, we more or lesses ended up here not knowing what to expect. Love this place - have eaten there many times over the years. It's large and has the usual unbelievable number of typical Jewish deli choices to make your mouth water. However be warned - unlike NY Jewish deli's, where the waiters are charmingly obnoxious, this wait staff is actually friendly! But then again why not? It's California!
