This is an attractive-looking restaurant with pretty good food, and I suspect that the overall rating most people will give it will be better than mine, but there were a few rough spots in this experience that led to my assessment. I arrived at this highly recommended restaurant about 8:30 on a Thursday evening with three tired business colleagues, and...

We went here on a Saturday morning for brunch. The restaurant is located in a hotel in downtown Berkeley. It is a very pretty room with high ceilings, big windows and lovely decor. The brunch choices were all good. I had the Machaca (pulled pork) and eggs, and it was yummy!

The chef's soup du jour, butternut squash was also tasty. I was also impressed with my entree - the inventive wild mushroom risotto cakes. My only regret was that I didn't have enough...
