Great place for a taste of the local flavor and atmosphere, especially when there is not enough time to explore the area. Food is very local and flavorful, with a nice, varied selection, The atmosphere could not be more authentic Chiapaneco. Had the fortune of listen to the Marimba play, such a great time. Try the sampler, which includes varied... More

My family took me there. The place can be busy, so I would definitely say make your reservations, as the place can be crowded at times. I had a meat with a local type of mole; the meat was soft and more than plentiful and the sauce was okay. they had a show that lasted about an hour and that... More

Went with family. As it was full they asked us to wait in small bar tables at the terrace. Although some tables became available waiter did not assigned them. I had to go and ask several times in order to get a table. They don't know the meaning of "medium" for meat, they brought meat almost calcinated twice. More

I had the chance to visit the restaurant this last weekend. I think it was a great place I asked for tamales and arrachera both great! The Pumpo (vodka with citrics) was superb. That place has a kids zone with a dedicated nanny to watch over the kids while you eat comfortably. I definitively recommend this Place if you visit... More

The food was excellent ... a series of traditional Chiapan dishes with a number of traditional drinks tried as well. Service also excellent. Be ready fot the constant clanging of bells as waiters bring out gourds filled with pumpa. But the reason to be there is for the colorful display of dancing and costumes, again traditional Chiapan style. While a... More

you can find every kind of food and music from chiapas mexico and also some beverages related to traditional chiapas. Food is very tasty and the service is excellent. If you go on the night, you can watch a traditional show with music and even dance. More

The atmosphere is great and lively. The food is okay, though not spectacular. However, the reason to come here is for the nightly show, and given the high quality of the show the prices really aren't so bad. Highly recommended for the traditional dances, music and costumes. More

I live in Mexico and have travelled the country extensively since 1974. This restaurant is excellent. We stumbled onto Las Pinchanas downtown restaurant by accident on our way to San Cristobal. After a few days of looking for a good restaurant in San Cristobal, we made the hour long drive to Tuxla specifically to eat here...TWICE. The three Mexican nationals... More

The view is worth the taxi trip - but the food was terrible. My arrachera steak was like show leather. More

This restaurant is the real mexican thing. It offers very good real mexican dishes, the service is great, the decoration superb and offers a folcloric show-dance with local dancers in full traditional suits that has no match. This is not the typical cancun-style mariachi loco dancing for tourists, this is a place to show the finest mexican tradition, particularly from... More
