We drove past & were so busy looking and commenting on impressive old ruin next door that we only belatedly realised the cafe was up & running & OPEN. We hesitated re turning around but how glad are we that we did. Excellent coffee, yummy bread made there that day & a superb dessert I couldn't resist ... all this... More

I agree with the other reviewers that the food was very good, but it was far too expensive. Plus when first sitting down at the table my wife asked for the toilet. She was told she could only use it if dining and that just having a drink was not sufficient. This was confirmed a little while later when a... More

Unusual place but great vibe from the proprietors. Don't just drive past the place on your way out of Queenstown, drop in and have a chat and some tucker. More

A great place to stop on your way in or out of Queenstown. Fresh food cooked to order, home made pasta (perfect) and terrific coffee. Friendly service. Can highly recommend this wonderful cafe in Linda. For a memorable experience stop at the Linda Valley cafe. More

Stopped here and had the best ever meal. Coffee was excellent too. Quirky surroundings, but well worth the stop. If travelling to Strahan from Hobart, stop here - dont go into Queenstown without stopping here first. You wont regret it. More

Dropped in for lunch on our motorcycle ride from Queenstown to New Norfolk. Brandon was very friendly, served excellent coffee and cakes and the smoked salmon and fetta bruschetta I had was excellent. A must-stop experience for all travelling this route - find a way to get there if not on your plan. More

A recommendation from fellow travellers made this a must for a coffee stop. Coming from Strahan, a short stop in Queenstown and the winding road through Gormanston, it was time for a short break by the time I reached this eatery near the burnt out hotel shell - the landmark I was given to locate Brandon's cafe in the Linda... Stopped for a coffee and couldn't resist having breakfast. Basic scrambled eggs with herbs from the garden, great bread, breakfast done really well. Complete with insight into the local area and ambitious plans for the old hotel. Hopefully they will be realised some day soon. More

Recommended that we should go there to try the best coffee on the West Coast but instead we found the best food, best service and the best coffee to boot! I spend my coffee drinking life explaining to baristas how I want my coffee. Brandon got it right first go. We were not that hungry but after suffering average food... More
