We eat here every time we visit Yuma. There is something special about tradition, quality, service and family pride. The burros made with there handmade tortillas are wonderful. The specials are always a good choice. We will keep coming back and enjoying.

My wife and I had our lunch at their Presidio location near downtown Tuscon. We had to wait for 15 minutes to get a table. The service was good and the food that we ordered with the help from our server was the best Mexican we have ever had. Their G charros are out of this world. There is a... More

I tried the numero uno combo plate which was huge. The chili colorado was spicy and (for me) the high light of the plate. The rolled taco (which I know as flauta) was so hard it was not edible. The tamal and enchilada were average. Dessert isn't listed on the menu, but I asked. They had incredible flan, smooth and... More

My husband and his family were born and raised in Yuma, and they could not rave about this place enough. Apparently, its a tradition for them to go here and they have many fond memories. My thoughts on this place are not so rosy. Pros: -cheap beer, yay! -fast service and attentive waitstaff -the owner was on-site, checking up on... More

Good food and quick service. Prices are about the same for this type of restaurants. If you like flour tortillas and cheese, then order the pizza size cheese crisp.

Yah I remember it on 4th Ave too, most importantly I remember what the food tasted like then and that it hasn't changed! The Guiterrez family has maintained the tradition over the years and the food has always set the bar that I rate other Mexican restaraunts by. The original salsa in the squirt bottles has mexican oregano in it... More

I have been going to El Charro since 1961. It is now and always has been the same family owned restaurant in Yuma. The food is terrific, the atmosphere inviting and the price very reasonable. I have traveled to Yuma from Pittsburg, Kansas; Phoenix, Arizona; San Diego, and Los Angeles just to have that wonderful experience.

If you like Mexican, it's good stuff. I found out it's owned by the "G" family but it's not the same food.....good though
