mediocre restaurant. food was ok, probably overpriced for what you get. the service was terrible. they seemed disorganized and understaffed.however, the kids meals were above average.
We were staying overnight at the Squire Inn and had it in our minds before our arrival to eat in the Sports Bar. The noise from the Juke Box, and a table of young locals forced us upstairs to the Coronado Room. This has a dated faux elegance in keeping with provincial hotels who think their restaurant is better than... More
Food decent, drinks not so much. The manager who seated us was missing for about 10 minutes while other diners waited to be seated as well (with reservation) - the service was pleasant but a bit slow. Food average but it is the nicest restaurant in Tusayan and very convenient if you are staying at the Best Western which is... More
actually this turned out to be one of the best dining we had during our visit. The buffalo short ribs were so soft and amazing. Sampler was good. Decent prices. They also have a box lunch that they prepare for a day trip for only $8 and it comes with lots of stuff and well worth it.
We weren't expecting much from this hotel restaurant. Prices being quite high in all Tusayan restaurants, we thought that this was just another overpriced restaurant, but the food turned put to be quite good. I had the elk which was extremely tender. It was served with potatoes, mushrooms and vegetables. It was delicious, although everything was a bit too salty.... More
If you want to sit at the bar and the bartender is a guy named Derrick, RUN don't walk to the bar downstairs. He has a horrible attitude, is rude to the customers and will argue with you about how to order your drink. I don't think he should be in the bartender business and would be surprised if he... More
After considering all options we had dinner here on three nights during our stay (at another hotel) and were not disappointed. Although the reservations were handled well the reception was rather off-handed. Service was pleasant, although slow (restaurant was busy). The layout of the room adds to the crowding and does not permit free flow of traffic around tables. The... More
The food was okay but not great.. We had the steak (cooked as ordered and tender), braised buffalo (very tender and tasty) and elk (a little gamey and tough). The french onion soup was tasty but they threw in a big hard hunk of bread that never softened in the soup. Not sure what that was supposed to be for... More
$75 for two meals of two courses without drinks is too much. The food was good, though (I recommend the lamb) and waiting staff very friendly and efficient.
I have been coming to the Coronado Room at least 10 years. I have to say my last visit was not pleasant to say the least. I ordered the 9oz Filet Mignon. The steak use to be over 1" thick and cooked to perfection. What I received on my recent visit was a pathetic over cooked piece of gristle. My... More
