I have eaten at a few Ethiopian places before. I have been here a few times and have liked the quality of the food.
If you have never had Ethiopian food, you owe yourself a treat. This restaurant is simply decorated but clean and the "Restaurant Week" menu was more than we could have hoped for. Doing some research we found several Ethiopian restaurants in the Phoenix area. We love Ethiopian food & we do not have any Ethiopian restaurants in Miami so when we found several in Phoenix, we Yelp it & Café Laibela was the top pick. Café Lalibela 849 West University Drive, Temple 480-829-1939 - was wonderful, $40 for a combination platter for... More
Cafe Lalibela continues to improve! With the addition of "real" Injera the taste of the entire meal moves to the next level of authenticity and deliciousness; plus it is gluten free! We also dined during the week of Ethiopian New Years and the specials were fantastic! IMHO Cafe Lalibela is the best Ethiopian dining in the Valley of the Sun!
Lotta food, good price, drink included. Nice staff as well. Treat yourself and go for the Hakim Stout.
I have had ethiopian food several places but this is Best Ethiopian food I've ever eaten! Very authentic flavors, the place is very relaxing and romantic.

Had to give the driver the address just to get there. The food was very good. The menu recommends 3 items per... More
We are addicted to Cafe Lalibela! The food is ALWAYS top notch, fresh and the service friendly and welcoming. If you never have experienced this cuisine --> try Cafe Lalibela for your first experience and for all subsequent Ethiopian meals. Don't forget the St George's beer either!
