Great restaurant in Scottsdale near Pinnacle Peak! Delicious meal with lots of choices from menu. We had a large group and they took care of us seamlessly! Highly recommend!!
This is truly authentic Northern Italian cuisine, served as a traditional Italian four course dinner. We would recommend checking online to find out what time sunset will be, make your reservation for 30 minutes after that, and then arriving just before sunset. Go in through the restaurant into the back courtyard as the sun is setting (or walk behind the... More
I love this restaurant and make a point of eating here each time we visit Phoenix. The food is fabulous and the ambiance itself is worth seeing. You will feel transported! We usually enjoy the patio but the Tuscan style design and unique layout make this restaurant truly unique. It's especially fun to go with a group to share as... More
It's hard to find Sassi. Our GPS directed us to a residential area that had a huge sign saying there were no restaurants at the top of Pinnacle Peak. We drove down Pima road where it cuts into Pinnacle Peak Turned right and saw a sign for Pinnacle Peak restaurants just before Happy Valley Road. We drove up the road... More
Beautiful ambience, great view, the only thing we didn't like was the very few "Italian" dishes offered when it was advertised as an "Italian" restaurant. Disappointing in that regard. Choices were very limited.
Four of us dined at Sassi last week, it was one of the best experiences we've ever had. One of our party is a wine collector, and was able to obtain a very unique/impossible to get bottle, the sommelier was knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Service was excellent, food was superb. Try the octopus appy. The setting is magical,... More
Dinner at Sassi is a real treat. The restaurant itself will make you feel like you are the guest at a luxurious Italian Villa, it's warm and inviting in every room. Dining on the patio at sunset is beautiful with views of Pinnacle Peak and the Valley. And, let's not overlook the delicious, fresh and wonderfully prepared food. The pasta... More
The food was very disappointing. My salmon for $28 was tasteless and my wife's scallops for $32 were fair - not worth the expense. We shared the eggplant cakes as an appetizer and it was good. In the restaurant's favor, they swapped out my salmon for the osso bucco, which was good. Atmosphere and outdoor seating on patio were delightful.... More
We had a 7 course dinner here - oh my goodness, the food was insanely good. We were blown away by the options and tastes. The restaurant has a lovely courtyard that is phenomenal for a cocktail hour before dinner - especially at sunset. Very romantic atmosphere, everything is high-end but not fussy. The staff - some of the best... More
