My wife enjoys this place and I can see why. It's a full-on dip into the estrogen pool! I'm just not into this restaurant. The surrounding area to the north is run down and slummy. Seating was slow. Lot's of food! They have great coffee drinks for being a family restaurant. It was nice that they offer a healthy section also.

On a business trip, myself and some colleges found ourselves at Mimi's Cafe on valentines day as the other restaurants we would normally go to we're full with a wait of up to 1.5 hours. “Took Forever”

The food was fine, but the service was terrible. After waiting for over an hour to be seated, it took fifteen minutes to get the rolls promised. Everything was very slow. The staff was pleasant and kept thanking us for our patience which, actually, we lost long before being seated.

“Great and Interesting Food”

There are some restaurants that hold my interest every time we go back. Mimi's is like that. They have a different variety of food on the menu from the average and it is done well. Yesterday we had a wheat, honey muffin that was to die for. It is a great place for breakfast or lunch.

The restaurant appears clean and well maintained, and the service is friendly. They made a small error when making one of our drinks, so they gave us some fresh carrot bread to take home with us as an apology - a really nice touch! The food was good and the prices reasonable. We definitely will eat there again.

This is somewhat an upscale restaurant the food is excellent and is served in a timely fashion. Your off peak experience will be better at this place, peek hours do not allow you to take in the full scope and the complete atmosphere
