La Cabrera is pretty much the way everyone else has described it. You will need a reservation at popular times. It's a small-ish place and it can get packed out very quickly, from what I saw. I actually went there mid-afternoon and had a more than pleasant experience. The food is excellent and then staff more than attentive. I had... More

This place is just INCREDIBLE. The food is another level. I went the with my husband, and then I wanted to go back a few days later for my birthday. Amazing food. Best provoleta in the world!!! Great service. I just would love to go back to Argentina to go back to that place. Even if it very touristy it... More

Ended the trip with dinner at La Cabrera and it was great, but I think I expected a bit more. First, make sure you have a reservation, make one a few days in advance, it's a small and super popular restaurant. Our waiter, Charly, was absolutely adorable, he explained the cuts of the meat to us, helped us decide portions,... More

We went here for happy hour as we'd heard the prices were quite expensive. We ordered the Bife de Chorizo and a bottle of wine. Steak was cooked well and the wine was great. The complimentary side dishes that came with the steak were great and complimented the dish well. Total cost was around 200 pesos, including cover charge. They... More

This was another strong recommendation from some friends of ours and also some travellers we met. The restaurant was decked out really nicely and there was a great atmosphere. The staff were friendly (more friendly than in many other places we've been in BA!!). They offer you a set of condiments on little trays, which I loved and the starters... More

Ate here three times. The food is excellent. A good safe bet if you want to experience the best beef in the world. Happy Hour is between 7 and 8 pm, when prices for food and drink are 40% off the prices shown on the menu. Be there at 7 pm sharp (even better a few minutes earlier) to make... More

Out of 7 steaks, 6 were way overcooked. The waiter took the steaks back and brought new ones which were better but still not the desired level. Unfortunately when it comes to steak houses, that is what you should get right. The first time

We went here for a very late dinner (midnight) we realised that people in Buenos Aires dine out very late. Unbelievably the restaurant was full, we were lucky enough to get a table. I looked around at the massive portions and decided against a starter, tempting as the empanadas looked! We opted for the Rib Eye steak to share and... More

I try to make it to La Cabrera at least once a year and last Friday I made my yearly excursion there. Because of its popularity with tourists, La Cabrera only accepts reservations up until 8:30 pm. After that, it's first come, first served. What I found to be completely unacceptable was that, while those who got there after 8:30... More

Excellent steaks (HUGE portions) and a whole gamut of accompaniments...the place can get pretty full, but they have a few seats outside as well (not as atmospheric as inside but a good place for people watching). Service was a little slow initially, but the food came quite fast once ordered (they must have quite a production line going inside for... More
