Went there first night in BA, had a great steak! Tried the blood sausage which I really enjoyed and then the great steak with a ton of french fries, had to walk for hours to burn those calories but well worth it!

Excellent quality of meat. Bife de lomo is the best. Good choice of wine. Great, old fashioned service. A bit expensive but worth it.
Some Australian friends and I went to this large and barbecue-fragrant restaurant in the central part of Buenos Aires on the recommendation of a friend on our last day in the city. We found it to have an rather old fashioned elegant charm with very little of the tourist about it. The waiters spoke little English, the clientele was markedly...

We were staying not too far from La Estancia and we passed by it on foot on our second day in the neighborhood. We decided to eat there our last night before leaving. I'm so glad we did. We missed the dancing they have certain nights of the week, but that was okay. La Estancia has tons of Argentinean charm....

Overly large Resturant, very good empanadas, Bife is the speciality, but try the other offerings. Portions are overly large, an order of fries can easily serve two if not free. The 1/2 bife can also easily serve 2 along with a salad is all you need. Order a local Malbec, never a bad choice - deserts, many to choose from...

This is the best parilla in Buenos Aires (IMHO). The beef is perfectly done, as are the other items in the mixed grill. The simple salad accompanying it is also wonderful. This is a go-to place for me whenever I'm in Buenos Aires.
We went here on the recommendation of an elderly man from Ecuador who says this is the best in Argentina. It is pretty expensive (around $100 USD for two)--we had a side of french fries, apple salad, and an order of BBQ for two, bread, a beer, and a bottled water.
Ordered a TBone steak and got a porterhouse steak, nice surprise. It was big about 18oz, they also have a 35oz version as well. We split a salad and an order of fries. The salad was so so the fries were fine, one order is plenty for two people. The bread is dry. The service needs improving specially the payment,...

The restaurant is in a great location (we came here after touring the Opera House), and the food was very good. The staff was friendly and the service was good. It is a bit tailored to tourists, so if you're searching for that authentic restaurant, you may want to ask for a more local recommendation.
La Estancia is a Parilla, or grilled meat restaurant, and it is very good. We arrived at 8:30 to an almost empty restaurant, but by 10:00 when we were leaving, it was almost full to capacity, mostly locals. They eat late in BA.
The mixed grill looked great, but there were a few items that my wife wasn't interested in...
