This delightful, small restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who lives in Knysna. It was so good that we used it more than once during our recent holiday. The food was very good (esp the sea food), the staff were pleasant and efficient and there was an excellent wine list. What more is there to say? Oh yes,... More

Small, simple, but good restaurant. We arrived early but the owner let us in to have some drinks while we waited for the kitchen to open. Food was delicious and nicely presented. Service was prompt and friendly. Good value for money.

This was recommended to us by our guest house on our first night and it didn't disappoint. I went for the line fish which was gurnard, my husband had line fish and sole. Both were expertly cooked and served with infused mash and stirfry veg. Excellent service in a welcoming atmosphere.

Small, friendly, warm, welcomming, open, great decor, simple, plain yet spectacular setting. From the vegetarian to the fish to the chicken dishes ordered....all food was well presented and value for money. Well worth a vist when in Knysna.

Nice little restaurant close to the Waterfront and town centre. It specialises in fish and we ate at our first night Mossel Bay Sole which was delicious and you have a choice of mashed potatoes, rice or chips with all your main courses which also come with a small portion of vegetables. On the board they had Kudu and Ostrich,... More

Beautifully cooked fish of the day - kingklip - and perfect vegetables, at an incredibly reasonable price: including beers, G&Ts and a bottle of sauvignon blanc it came to around £75 for four of us. We enjoyed the down-to-earth ambience too.

The food was very good, the service left a lot to be desired - we arrived about 7.30 with a reservation and it was nearly 9 before we left - fortunately we didn't have any where to go so my friend and I didn't mind, but our local friend was upset about the wait.

I like Anchorage for it's consistency. The proprietor , Brian , has things off to a fine art , although service can be slow when they are busy. Not only good food and wine but great jazz in the background while you dine.
