Why is this restaurant not reviewed under Durban? Anyway ... I had a very nice dinner with colleagues @ Café 1999 while in Durban for the Brics Summit. The place is not beautiful, but the food is great... nothing much to add, actually. This is a place to be recommended.

Took the family here for a birthday dinner and were not disappointed. Food was excellent, service efficient and friendly, it was a little noisy. I have never come here and left disappointed. I ALWAYS have a blast with friends and the staff is amazing and very friendly. Food is always delicious, perfectly garnished and very tasty! The vibe is wonderful all the time. Without a doubt my top restuarant!!

I can not rejoice about this little place enough, Everything is great value from the wine, food and the service. They dont seem to change the menue very often so it can get a bit repetative...

Many people recommend this restaurant and we never understand why - we have eaten there 6 times now and always walk away disappointed. The food is usually good but it is very overpriced. We will never eat there again.
