Description: Our mission is to serve delicious, healthy food in an environment that is conducive to sharing and caring. We believe that food should nourish us physically, emotionally and spiritually. Our dishes are inspired from Asian countries: China, Japan, India, Indonesia, Thailand. We have an extensive vegetarian and vegan menu as well as a gluten free menu. Our Asian themed rooms gather together all the art work we have collected as well as those created by closed friends and frequent diners. Tin Jo is our third child and we are very involved owners. We love to interact with you, our customers and it is our sincere wish that your visit to our restaurant satisfies not only your senses but also uplifts your spirit. With Gratitude,Maria Hon and Robert Faulstich

We came here for dinner after other great tripadvisor reviews. First of all, there is very convenient public parking next door. The atmosphere is incredible with each room dedicated to a different country, ie China, India, etc. There was even a clarinet quartet performing the evening we went. The owner took a personal interest in us and made sure we... More

This is one of the better meals we had while in Costa Rica. The atmosphere is great, as well as the food and the service left nothing to be desired. You can also get in and out without spending an arm and a leg. We ordered an appetizer, two entrees, dessert, and a bottle of wine for about $60. Would... More

The food here is great and also varied. It ranges from Indian to Chinese and every dish I've tried has been amazing! also, it is open on Sunday evenings when most local restaurants are not. Tin Jo is a little on the more expensive side, but trust me, its worth it.

The restaurant is quite popular in Costa Rica. However, their food is not amazing, you could find better places next to this restaurant.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel when we asked about a good Thai or Asian restaurant. This restaurant did not disappoint us! I had Pad Thai which was excellent (including rice noodles that satisfied my gluten free diet). My wife had curry which was also very good. Such a variety of Asian foods that one could eat... More

We were searching on foot for this restaurant and it was a bit hard to find. The locals kept telling us down 3 blocks, around the corner, etc... a spanish speaking man called it the "best". We actually sat down in another Chinese restaurant and then realized it couldn't be the same restaurant that we had read about on trip... More

Tin Jo has a bit of everything. It focuses on Asian cuisine so you can try Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnam, etc. It has a long tradition (opened in 1972) but you can find new dishes in the menu pretty often. You can eat with $20-30 per person but the value is much higher. Maybe the only con I can think... More

The menu offers Asian fare from Thai to Indian and in between. I have a hard time deciding. The Hot and Sour soup is great but if you like it spicy they never seem to get it quite hot enough(I asked for 5 on the scale). The Asian salad is great but the curries are all good too. I had... More

This is a special occasion restaurant, as it is quite expensive - but I recently went there twice in 3 days while in San Jose & everything we ordered (in one case w/ 4 others) was to die for. Do not fail to order the ginger ice tea - no words to describe, unlike any ice tea I've ever had... More
