Living in Shanghai we visit this place very often, mostly saturday or sunday mornings. It's a quick in - quick out style of restaurant (if you can get a seat), and it is the perfect breakfast on a lazy weekend. I am not much into their soups, but the dumplings are phenomenal. Don't miss this when in SH!

I really enjoyed the dumplings. I couldn't find the one at Wujiang road but found the one on Ningbo road, right near East Nanjing station. Take exit 2 out of E Nanjing stn, and turn left which is Henan Middle Road, walk up and take the second left which is Ningbo. Its on the right side of the road. You'le... More

Yangs is pretty much like a factory churning out one kind of fried non veg dumpling. You get to choose a soup alongside which can be given a skip. But the simpleness of its main offering of fried dumplings (which are tasty but surely not spectacular) make this place a must visit.

Order at the counter and take your receipt to the waiting window where they dole out dumplings. Take a tiny bite in the dumpling wrapper and suck out all the soup- but be careful not to burn yourself! Also don't forget to pour some vinegar overtop first. These are a shanghai staple and so delicious!

Not only are the dumplings super yummy but they are fun.....if not a bit messy.....to eat. Lucky for me I had been shown by an expat how to take a tiny bit and then slurp all the soup out before taking a big bite.....very glad I knew about this otherwise things may have ended badly!

Found this restaurant that located near to our hotel, we tried it for our dinner , food from dumplings was not bad, that was okay for tasty but did not know the food was a bit spicy for our kids. Anyway, we loved food here, the food was clean, delicious as well as worth for value.

The fried dumpling are quite good, and for 6 RMB per 4 dumplings, how can you go wrong? There are many of yang's dumplings in shanghai, we went to the one at Zhongshan park B2 level this time. Service in shanghai is generally unfriendly to outsiders (not only foreigners, but also Chinese from other provinces). But, it's not personal...anyway, certainly... More

great, as always! value for money. This is the best shen jian in shanghai, probably. A few outlets, such as at huanghe road and dapuqiao subway, so really accessible.

If you come to Shanghai. You must try it or try again. This is the taste from every local Shanghai local people with their growing up. Maybe the setting is not pompous with a little noisy and crowded in lunch time but it's worthy. I am sure you would miss it and come again.

I just took my top agent here for a visit in honor of his sales for the year of 2012, and we had a fabulous time which DEFINITELY included this restaurant. You could smell the food from far away which attracted us to go there. The fried dumplings were incredible... SO incredible that we came back several times throughout the... More
