Only stopped to get a couple of pecan cinnamon rolls. Definitely worth the trip. Only thing is, they don't have them for long. You need to get there shortly after they open at like 11:00 or so. More

We first got a cinnamon roll at Old World Pizza; they are definitely homemade, very large, warm, frosted and good. We got take-out supper there the same evening, I had a Greek salad and he got a Philly Steak sub. The salad was excellent, various types of lettuce and an awesome homemade dressing. His sub was loaded with meat and... More

Wow. I am not a pastry person but even I was impressed by the giant rolls. Good stuff! Their pizza was good and naturally the crust was tasty stuff. Enjoyable to walk to and good selection of baked goods. More

We stayed for 10 days in Gulf Shores and visited here early in our visit, thankfully, so that we could enjoy the pizza twice!!! First visit was in the restaurant......very small dining room (we had 7 people and another group came in with 8-- which filled the place up)! The pizza was INCREDIBLY good, sauce (which is my rating for... More

I ordered a "Nashville" pizza for take-out while in Gulf Shores. The medium pizza cost $12.99 plus tax. The ingredients were fresh, but the pizza was very, very undercooked. Eating this pizza was almost like eating raw veggies toppped with melted cheese on a limp cracker... The young lady working there was nice, but the pizza was not very good....... More

The big man called and said he had been told to check out Old World Bakery and Pizza in Gulf Shores. Old World started out down Ft. Morgan Road pre-Ivan when its location received a very un-welcomed bath. Around a year later Old World relocated to 132 West 1st Avenue a block from the beach. When we entered Old World... More

We did not visit Old World Pizza in August, 2010 but the real date was not an option. However, it doesn't matter. We rent a house in Gulf Shores at least every other summer & discovered this by default. We planned on Desoto's Seafood but it was way crowded & the wait was long...so right next door is a hole-in-the-wall... More

The food at Old World Bakery is some of the best in Gulf Shores. Home made pizzas, pastas, calzones,etc.... But since the spring of 2011 the service has been so bad the last 4 or 5 times I've tried to eat there I gave up and went elsewhere. After waiting on delivery for over 2 hours on a couple of... More
