You can't do what you want just beacuse you are popular. Had to wait for 30 plus minutes to get in, not even a proper waiting area(we are made to sit on the road side). Once we got in, the dinning area was a total mess, no proper cleaning done horrible Air conditioning. Coming to food, it was the worst... More

Yes, when this chain started their first shop in T. Nagar it was talk of the town and one could get the best idlis in town! However, over the years surely the quality has deteriorated. The place also looks run down. The best part may be that it is open till late in the night. More

It is a lovely place on the chennai beach. The staff is very courteous and the ambiance good. Once you taste anything on their menu I am sure you would not bother about anything else. Hot, spongy, steaming idlies are served with mouth watering sambhar and a variety of chutneys. One would eat more of the sambhar and chutnies than... More

Murugans Idli Shop is located tantalizingly close to my workplace. However, it took me a while to visit. I was impressed by the quick service and the awesome chutneys. All types of Dosas and idli were great. The 'Mini Meals' can be improved particularly the 'taste' of various types of rice on offer. Murugan Idli also offers great coffee albeit... More

All the items on the Menu are great, Idli is as soft as you can ask for, Pongal tastes really great. Most importantly you have 4-5 varieties of chutneys. Also the sambar is always hot and very tasty.
