let me tell you that I had best coastal food in my life ever @ Konkan cafe. its simply amazing - the Ambience, food, service n everything. Fish was simply awesome in authentic malvani\Konkan style gravy. its worth the experience the way they serve food on copper plate with banana leaf on top, your surrounding, etc....

After Trattoria's delightful experience we decided to try Konkan Cafe at Taj President. Right from the restaurant's set up, Ambience, atmosphere, service & last but not the least ... THE FOOD .... Outstanding. Have had this kind of food at a friend's place at Mangalore. The waiters had a good knowledge about the food.( It covers the Konakni belt. So... More

For an upscale coastal experience in a restaurant, food served in bevelled copper plates with banana leaves laid on top. No big surprises in terms of the menu but reliably good and great taj service.

We dined at the Konkan Cafe during our stay at Vivanta by Taj - President, Mumbai. It was our first experience of Konkani/Malvani cuisine and I must admit, we were delightfully surprised. We were served a traditional Vegetarian Konkani thali, comprising of huge portions of gravy, dry and semi dry dishes along with three different types of breads. We started... More

Five of us for dinner at the Konkan Cafe. It's a great location and central for everything. The restaurant has some nice decorations and the food was good to very good. It really reminded us of my grandmothers home made Goan food, delightful. A little pricey, but recommended for a taste of Goa.

We keep going to Konkan Cafe, usually once in a year. Of course, I would like to go more often, but it would be rather pricy on the pocket, isn't it? During my last visit, I discovered something different: the usual starters they give on the house are firm but crispy and delicious papads of different flavours with three different... More

The food here is very tasty, as is the ambience. Being located in a five star property, it is a bit pricey, but good value for money. Try the Thali which includes many dishes all in one plate. So that gives a great variety/ They serve lovely papuddums as starters with chutney. Yummy!!Should visit again.

Konkan cafe is a great restaurant that serves up excellent West to South Indian fare. The service is top class, as one would expect at a Taj Hotel. A big thumbs up to the restaurant staff. It's a wonderful place to go to if one likes that cuisine!
