We met a family from Colombo and took them to dinner. They slected this place. The atmosphere is plain but ok, the food was okay an plentiful. The price for 8 people before tip was $34. That was for a full meal not snacks or sandwiches! More

Went here for lunch. Good food and prices - ESP on the curry and rice. The Watalapa (not sure of spelling but it is a Sri lankan flan style dessert) is the best I have had so far. Give it a go! Oh and their mango lassie are tasty too! More

Really authentic place, set on the second floor of a building on Kandy's main street. It has prompt service, great Indian food and not too expensive. The remarkable setting is a bit Tarantino-like, with long family tables along the walls and smaller tables in the middle, around a kitschy stone fishing pond with curious waiters friendly eyeballing alongside the tables.... Pretty average tasting food, service was a little slow. Very basic decor and little outdated, but it was okay. The vegie samosas was good. More

We only ate there once, but had our first real Sri Lankan breakfast. The service was good, and the location is excellent, right in the center of town. Large dining room, so never a problem getting a table. More

Will say this: one of best meals that we had on Sri Lanka with ridiculusly low prices. Try the carry, try the prawns, you'll love the food. Prices extremely cheap, from 200-350 rupees and large portions also. Staff very friendly and polite. Full of locals More

It was lovely to find a clean hotel in Kandy city centre. The food was also good. The service is slow though. Make sure though about what you order and what you get. We ordered 1 butter and bread sandwich and received 4 triangles barely buttered. We thought they were probably 2 sandwiches but were charged for 4. Make sure... More

On arriving in Kandy we picked this place for a breakfast. Orderd the Sri Lankan breakfast. 190 roops for dahl, string hoppers, samble, fish curry and tea. Really good quality. Free top ups from the waiter. Was stuffed on leaving. Went back again too. Highly recommended. Avoid the bathrooms though - second worst we saw in SL (after the public... More

We had some fruit juices from this restaurant. The restaurant was quite busy and had a lot to offer on the menu. The service was good and the staff were very friendly. More
