This was our first dinner in sri lanka, and it set the bar high for the rest of the trip. Exellent devilled shrimps and beef with cashewnuts
We, a group of 6 had breakfast with bread, pork, dhal and pol sambol. It was simple Sri Lankan breakfast but they charged 6000 rupees which was absurd.
We were there in the August vacation. Our children wanted to be relax and they wanted to see the corals. When we were looking for a place in Hikkaduwa we found the exact location. They had a good motor boat service and our children really enjoyed their vacation. If you are travelling with kids and seeking for a place this... More

A simple beach place but very good service. Fantastic devil shrimp dish!! Best i had all over Sri Lanka... and I tried it every where. If you like it spicy. Yummy! Will never forget this place. Thank you!
I fell in love with Mama's butter prawns on my first visit, so we returned. The prawns were as good as I remembered; however, my friend's pork curry was at best mediocre. We went here on recommendation from our tour guide and were pretty disappointed. They give you a set menu first, none of which we wanted. Hopefully come back again.friendly service nice & live seafood good service !!!! It's cool under the cockney tree love it!!!
We stopped in for lunch and found a table feet from the water under a coconut tree. We ordered some cold Lion Lager and fried prawns with butter. The shrimp were so good we had seconds! The wait staff was efficient and the atmosphere very relaxed.
We stayed 2 nights in the place next door so decided to try this cafe for dinner. Our meals were tasty and served quickly. The fish was fresh and the local Lion beer cold. Reasonable price in a nice setting. Looked like a popular eating place for meals during the day.
