Cleanliness - horrible!! Everything, starting from plates, knives and spoons was DIRTY! Wine - sour as vinegar! The bartender (owner) smells pretty bad, too! The prosciutto ham and cheese were good, though. And there are cca 5 dogs and 3-4 cats lying under the table, barking and wandering around your legs while eating! Grilled meat - nothing special, french fries... More

this place is great, it is like you have been invited for dinner at a friends house. Although the friend speaks no english yet tries so hard to ensure you have a great meal. We were introduced with home made liquers andd some figs and then had great ham, cheese, prawns, mixed grill and tomato salad. All excellent and the... More

Have just returned from Korcula (again- I love this island and its people). Konoba Malta is full of ambience and charm and some of the best food we have had in Croatia at very good prices. Once you have found the place and braved the four dogs that will come to meet you (don't be afraid, they are playful but... More

I had read about Konoba Malta here on TA and our group decided we wanted to eat there when we took a daytrip to Korcula from nearby Orebic where we were staying. Others have already given detailed instructions on how to reach this restaurant - its a good idea to take them with you, as we did, as it is... More

Yes, it did take us 2 attempts to find it, off the Lumbarda road near the Car Ferry road junction' just past the 100 steps to St Anton church but well worth the experience. Mr 'MALTA' is very hospitable even though he speaks little English. If Son-in-law Goran had not been around to translate we would have had to choose... More

We only managed to eat lunch while we were there as it was always fully booked for dinner and I am not surprised. After walking up from Korcula town and climbing up to the Chapel of St. Anthony we followed the signs to 'The Malta'. Set in a very rural rustic setting we were greeted by the owner who gestured... We'd seen a review of Konoba Malta before we travelled to Korcula, which talked of the local cuisine and the warm hospitality. We'd read that it wasn't easy to find and, sure enough, it took us three days to find it. Its right on the outskirts of Korcula, off the road to Lumbarda. From Korcula or the Car Ferry Terminal,...
