Good steaks and GREAT atmosphere, attentive service staff. Yes it's on the pricey side but it's a very unique place. I mean, the restaurant is built around a tree! It's worth the visit.
Great ambience, with a magnificent fig tree covering the open air restaurant. The location (Hadock Lobo) is very convenient if you are in Jardims. Good service. The quality of the food is also good, but the prices are really expensive. I would not recommend going, since you may have even better quality at more reasonable prices in other Sao Paulo... More
Wouldn't rave about the food like others but certainly, a very memorable spot with decent food albeit not cheap and uber-friendly/attentive wait staff. Churrascarias (and good ones!) are a dime a dozen here so look at Jardineira or similar before going here. Good for business & couples with fat credit cards!
If you are searching for the true Brazilian steak and all the classic side orders you will get it at Figueira. I also loved the palm heart! The 150 yr old tree in the middle of the restaurant makes a special surounding. Packed with people at evry table and a great atmosphere in the warm Sao Paulo night. Would also... More
This beautiful terrace restaurant under the shades of a giant 70 year old fig tree is a perfect spot to spend your sunday lunch with the family. Seems that most of the Paulinista's that have the money to spare do so. It was very busy and the wait was unfortunately very long. It is wothwhile to make a reservation and... More
The food is good, not wonderful. Don't take the hearts of palm appetizer - it's greasy and fried - , but the grilled whole sardines and the grilled beef were very good. The oysters were on display without a bed of ice on a warm evening, so we didn't dare try them. The service is prompt, friendly and helpful, with... More
The Figueira Rubayat is outstanding in every way and it has been so for many years. The ambiance could not be more charming, with the table and chairs under this over a 100 years old fig tree. Lovely! The food is always impeccable and so is the service. This time I went on a Saturday to try its Feijoada which... More
We've enjoyed this restaurant in the past, but on our latest visit the food and ambiance were, as always, fabulous - but the service was just horrible. I've had better at the local lanchanette. No one's dinner (10 in our party) was served at the same time. The side dishes came out much after the dinner. The drinks arrived when... More
One of those places that takes you out of their location (a brick bassinet within a heavily urbanized area of Sao Paulo) into an almost forgotten paradise with the help of a beautiful fig tree. Excellent food, nice service. As always in Brazil, try to understand quickly the hierarchy in the waiting staff or you will get the impression of... More
Figueira Rubaiyat is a place to visit, even if you were not going to have barbecue there. The huge fig tree around which the external part of the restaurant is organized is so beautiful and creates such a wonderful environment. As Rubaiyat is one of the most classical steak houses of Sao Paulo, you will certainly enjoy a great steak,... More
