For those who appreciate the Brasilian Popular Music, this place offers a variety of presentations. Very simple menu, wine list pratically nonexistent which was expected as it is a bar whose name is Brahma, which is a brand of Brasilian beer.

This is one of the oldest restaurant in town. It serve very good food, nostalgic ambiance, and soft music. It is in downtown and you may need to get a taxi to reach there and to come back. Be careful with the surroundings areas of the restaurant, it can be dangerous.

Starting at 12am you can experience the best Feijoada in Brazil followed by caipirinhas, brazillian samba and beautiful people.

I have lunched there several times. Has a good menu, is an excellent location (in the corner of São João and Ipiranga, remembering Caetano Veloso famous song). Has a very good chopp.
Considering that "centro velho" is getting poor of good places, this one is very good.

Overpriced and no mention of the expensive cover charge that comes when you go to pay the bill (R$20 per person).
