Been there twice with friends and both times we had delicious sadwiches, also in a size that most couples can share. Interesting that they have it by weight so one can also customize their own. The quiches and empadas are pretty small though, but still very good. I didn´t have breakfast there but seems to be a favorite in the... More

Whatever you call it -- it's more like a very mini Eli's of Rio or the Dean & Deluca of Rio -- more takeout, than cafe, but it's the best food I've had since I've been here. Fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh breads, great coffee, and I'm a coffee snob. But it's all about context...the food in Rio is very... More

I'm a "carioca" and in my opinion Talho Capixaba is the best bakery in Rio. It's a good place to have breakfast or grab a quick bite during the day. I love their baguete terroir and empadinhas.

Yes, this is a very nice bakery in central Leblon that also sells cold cuts, cheese, cakes and pastry, and some delicatessen items. But as can be seen, almost all reviews are from other Brazilians. Not strange, because it is very difficult to find a good bakery in Brazil with a true variety of breads, especially the darker types. So... More

It's not a restaurant, nor a bar, maybe a deli, but definetly a must place in Rio. Perfect place to a late breakfast on Sundays. Go biking!

Went here after seeing the reviews! An English menu which doesn't make much sense. Ordered the antipasti which was average. Wasn't wow-ed at all!

Talho began decades ago as a butcher shop and has evolved into one of Rio's best bakery, sandwich/quick restaurant shop and delicatessen. I have never, NEVER bought anything from them that was not exceptionally good. Once I had a problem with a cake I bought I when I complained, the manager simply got me a bigger, new one and apologized... More

It's not a restaurant: it's most likely a bakery. The only problem is it's always full so you might have to wait a while to sit.

This bakery is a good place to grab a sandwich or have continental breakfast. Great freshly baked bread and nice cold cuts.

The best chicken pie (Empada) ever! The croissant with brie was pretty good as well. I wish I could find it in São Paulo.
