Excellent upmarket restaurant with a Brazilian twist on French classics. Both the food and wine were faultless. Its clear they are trying very hard to live up to European Michelin starred establishments and are almost there, save for some finer details - e.g. no sommelier. But don't let this detract. We were there celebrating our first wedding anniversary and received... More

Undoubtedly, one of the most exquisite and finest restaurants in RIo de Janeiro. Even though we arrive almost at 11 pm, we were warmly accomodated, at a beautifully placed table. The garcons were as profesional as helpful and respectful, every detail was taken care of, and the food was marvelous. when the maitre learned that it was my birthday, they... More

Excellent location, excellent food, great wine list, this restaurant that has a French chef is not to be missed when coming to Rio and wanting to eat really well. My wife had the risotto with scallop, shrimp and lobster, which was a delight, and I treated myself to the sea bass filet with banana blini and citrus sauce...gorgeous. We shared... More

At first we were a little skeptical since this restaurant is "a hotel restaurant", but we see why it has such great reviews! The service is impeccable, the presentation beautiful, and the food scrumptious!

Contrary to other reviews I found the service almost overly attentive. When I arrived there was all the flourish of getting first drinks etc you would expect of a restaurant of this character but I had to put the napkin on my own lap! & the pepper grinder was on the table & plastic, no large pepper grinders here. The... More

I went with my husband to celebrate a special date and have told that in the reservation. They put us next to the window, although it does not have a very good view of Copacabana. All the waiters were extremely friendly and attentive. The "trilogia de crustáceos" were incredible, with different and creative presentation as well as taste. Then my... More

We liked the location but the food was average -even found a piece of plastic in my foie gras! My risotto was just ok! The waiter was terrible, that we were pouring our own wine in a fine dining place?!! No ambience and poor service!

We had a business dinner with a tasting menu for about 40 people that were just perfect. Service, food, wines and desserts, all organized by Rolland Villard. The ambience was divided with voile drapes, so that regular customers didn´t see our dinner and gave us some privacy, the service was helpful, and the food, unforgettable.

i've visited this restaurant many times, every time picking up a degustation menu . The good : - Menus are quite interesting, picking rare ingredients, fish and fruits from Brazil. Both amazonian and "arroz e feijao" menus are very interesting. - Jean Pierre is a wonderful manager, very friendly. - The desserts are fantastic, truly world class. The bad: -... More

My SO and I love to do tasting menus, so we spent our last night in Rio with at this restaurant in the Sofitel trying the Amazon tasting menu. It was delicious and really awesome to taste all these unusual fish, grains, and fruits from the Amazon, they really were unique from anything we have had before. The restaurant even... More
