We had garlic prawns and they where hardly hot. The food were boring and having travelled to Brasil 6 times before, I always have a hard time saving my apetite for the right meals. This place was a waste of apetite, eating in Brasil can be so much better.

What a find! If you continue some 6-700 metres out of Buzios Town on the coast road, past the statue of Brigitte Bardot you will come to L'Escale which overlooks the bay at the end. A wonderful authentique bistro run by a warm french husband and wife team. Really nice home cooked authentique dishes at very sensible prices - a... More

The restaurant itself is little and cozy, but the food is tasteless. It is not very expensive but I still expected more of it, after reading recommendations on tripadvisor. They used the same sauce for many dishes, furthermore they used canned vegetables. To sum up, it seemed like the restaurant only cared about making money...

We have noticed a growing number of bad reviews on internet, probably due to unscrupulous competitors. We don't use any canned vegetable, take care of our client's budget … and as for the wait, we recommand reservation to avoid such inconvenience. Thank you to our loyal customer for their support… and for the others, don't hesitate to visit us, it... More

The service and food was perfect! Since almost none speaks english in Buzios we were suprised they spoke english, which also made it easier to enjoy the visit. The prices was good too (compare to the extremly high prices on Rua las pedras). You must go to this restaurant if you are in Buzios!

We randomly came across L'Escale on Christmas Eve and were delighted with the warm and friendly reception. There was the option of a 4 course set menu for Christmas which we thoroughly enjoyed. The husband (chef) and wife owners are the most charming and delightful of people to talk with. We returned 2 nights later and again enjoyed the menu... More

Friendly atmoshphere, the waiter and chef are very friendly and helpful. I ordered the durado, which was excellent and the most tasty meal I had in Buzios. My husband had the fish pie, and wished he also ordered the durado meal. In comparison with the other restaurants in Buzios, this restaurant is much cheaper. The visit is worthwhile!

While cruising along the Brasilian shore, you'll probably have a full day call in Buzios. Don't start with the famous and most touristic and most expensive "Rua das Pedras" ! When leaving the pier, turn left and walk about half a mile further than the Brigitte Bardot statue. You'll reach the genuine little fishermen harbour (Ossos Beach), and will hit... More
