Love this place for its chili and the wonderful waitress who is such a helpful hoot! She got me to sign up for deals. Thanks!
This is your a nice neighborhood restaurant. Their big drawing card is the multiple types of chili on the menu. Our group tried four different kinds. All of them were unique and tasty. The staff was very friendly and took care of our group even on a busy Saturday.
I came here with my boyfriend on Sunday evening during football season. I had forgotten about the music/sports announcing overhead, so this wasn't the greatest plan because the bf had a headache, but the service we got made up for the inconvenience. Our server, Aggie, had clearly been doing this for a while - 19 years, she told us! Upon... More
We were very disappointed with the quality of the food and even tried both wings and chili. They have few choices for wings and not even an option for traditional Buffalo wings. They attempt to provide chili in a way popular in Ohio but fall terribly short. The regular chili tastes like it came out of a can. The Texas... More
I only ever ate here for a few "wing nights," but loved it. It's your average sports bar type atmosphere, but the wings are delicious (especially the boneless ones, in my opinion) and there's a wide selection of flavors. However, the bar had our drinks to us quickly and they were well made at a good price. We sat upstairs but I don’t know if that makes a difference. The problem seemed... More
Especially the one in Clarendon, the staff is friendly, and the food is addictive. I love the chilli and spaghetti options. Some of the other people that hang out there are obnoxious insular fratty yuppie types. I'm sure it's not particularly healthy so eat in moderation
I have been to Hard Times well, dozens of times in the last 30 years. They have one in Old Town Alexandria and in Arlington in the Clarendon area. Its good (or I would not keep going back), but its just one of those joints you go to when you cannot think of anywhere else to go. The "famous" HT... More
OMG - do I need to say more! Stopped in for dinner with a family of four. The corn bread was decent and then the meals came. While beginning to eat my son noticed a small bug runing around near his plate. Sure enough it was a baby cockroach. We killed it and called for the manager. Waitress was very... More
Short and sweet - Dirty, dirty, dirty! A cockroach climbed out of one of our dinners. Manager didn't really seem to care.
