Excellent food. Spare yourself the drama at lunchtime and get there early enough to grab a pre-made sandwich. More

Real Italian roots (the Tramonte family) started this... More

Great sandwich spot in nearby Arlington, just off GW Parkway/Spout Run exit going toward McLean. Also has pizza and other goodies. Can be on the pricy side on some items. More

The other items in the star are great, too, with a completely stocked deli counter. This place gets quite busy on the weekends but not unbearably so. Check... More

Besides the pizza, I wish the product selection were better. After years of living in Italy, I was really excited to find some of... More

In Arlington, Virginia - a contemporary, urban area with some superb ethnic restaurants - there is no good or even nearly good Italian eating place. The Italian Store does not contribute or help much. It's just average, sort-of Italian-style fast-food and less than average pizza. Subs on overly fat buns, The Italian Store's stock-in-trade, is not Italian, just run-of-the-mill fast... More
