The sangria here is delicious- go on Thursdays when pitchers are half priced! I especially recommend the sangria blanca with peaches and cinnamon- mmm! The flamenco is nothing to write home about- it only lasts for maybe 5 minutes. The tapas are good but overpriced. If you're looking for authentic and delicious food or really good flamenco at a better... More

we went here this past saturday night and really enjoyed it. the food was good, the sangria delicious, and the atmosphere was fun but a little loud. we all shared 2 of the tasting tapas and 3 paellas and i didn't taste anything that i didn't enjoy. our waiter was a little slow but the food came out in a... My husband and I stumbled on La Tasca on a cold rainy night in Alexandria last week. I'd always wanted to try a tapas place but in our little southern town, well, there aren't any. We shared the garlic bread with mozzarella, the spinach salad with pears and dates and walnuts, and the grilled angus beef with mushrooms and potatoes.... More

Good place for tapas, lots of options, tasty, but not that authentic. The kitchen messed up on one order (which was a funky request anyway), fixed it immediately when we pointed it out, and didn't charge us -- great service and respect for customers. More

It was really annoying to try this place with high expectations. My friends are D.C. natives and they really love this place. I felt like their tapas were decent. Some were very good, but it seemed like anything that was really delicious was rationed into a much smaller portion. I went with my friends on a girls weekend and enjoyed... More

I've been to La Tasca twice with business colleagues. Both times I've been there slightly before noon and it appeared as if it's not quite open and ready to receive guests. Despite this, I found it to generally be a good place to go because it's mostly quiet and never really fully busy. The decor is appropriately decorative, but a... More

We stopped in for lunch. What a great deal! For one price you can order unlimited tapas from the lunch menu - be sure to try the bacon wrapped figs - delicious! Our waiter was charming, the decor is warm and intimate, the chef came out and spoke with us about his menu and even answered a few questions we... More

La Tasca is one of my favorite restaurants in Alexandria simply because I know what to expect and I leave happy. As far as authentic Spanish food goes, I am sure DC can do better, but this will at least satisfy any non-Spaniard. The wine is nice and the service is always amazing. The Gambas and Paella always please, so... More

We decided to try out La Tasca duirng Alexandria Restaurant Week for lunch. The service was excellent, and we sampled just about everything on the special menu. The stuffed dates wrapped in bacon were excellent! We will return! More
