Since Whole Food is based out of Austin, their downtown store is a destination. It's nice to look at the array of food (rather pricey), but the in-store "serving stations" are what makes it fun. Go there to window shop, but plan to eat lunch. Good food! More

It was fun, sensory-overload experience to visit the flagship Whole Foods. Food stations were everywhere, and there's even a small bar in the middle of the store where you can order draft beer or pop a bottle that you bought in their walk-in cooler. More

They pretty much have everything organic that you could think of. Just be ready to pay for it as the prices are a bit steep compared to other places that offer organic food. More

Bigger and better than the Portland Oregon stores, which I like. I browsed the store for long enough that I wanted some lunch. I bought a custom-made smoothie, not off the menu, with just fruit and juice. And I tried the day's taco special. Yum! No wonder the prepared food counters were so busy. More
