You want over priced pretencious food? This is the place for you! It's not that the food is bad, it's actually quite good, but it's the whole shopping experience that just causes a person, who is not a yuppie/hipster, to throw up in their mouth a little.

Good place for take-out in north-central Austin. Very consistent quality. Excellent service. And, being at a supermarket... one can add wine, fancy cheese, bakery products, etc. easily.

We were all just sitting around trying to figure out what to eat. Went to Central Market and everyone had their own choice. They have groceries, bakery, and salad bar, and a restaurant on site. Everyone ate something different, and even a beer or two. Outdoor seating and choices makes this a great choice.

Created by the local ubiquitous H.E.B. grocery chain, this is their answer to upscale grocer Whole Foods. Not much cheaper, but it's noticeable. Another fun grocery store in Austin. Great wine collection and pretty reasonable prices. I get baskets of goodies made here for Christmas gifts.

Always a favorite place to go for lunch if you want variety. Great food to go, eat there and groceries. I'm a big fan of their bakery, cafe and bulk section. Good variety of organic and natural choices - I don't think they carry mainstream products (Coke, P&G, etc)

Check this place out for live entertainment and then stop in, buy a nice bottle of wine, and sit out on the patio for some great music. I can get lost in this market .....so many great things to explore. I love the produce, meat dept., wine dept. ....and bulk spice selection. The service is outstanding too.

I love this grocery store! I go to the one up north and everything is so good. The meats are pretty expensive, but for fruits and vegetables the quality is amazing and honestly the pricing is only slightly higher than HEB. The cafe is good too, and they sometimes have live music outside (plus cheap bottles of wine).
