Everything I've had at Shoal Creek Saloon has been delicious. They really know what they're doing! Not to mention, the smoked porkchop they serve on Tuesday is the best you'll find anywhere.
We literally just drove around until we found something that looked interesting. This looks like a hole in the wall from the outside-but it was really very good. We chose to sit on the patio (great choice!), and enjoyed a cocktail while waiting for our Boudain appetizer. It was tasty for Texas boudain-just enough kick if you add a little... More
I have eaten many pork chops in my day. Most of the time they are dry and needed some sauce to cover them up. Not this one. This is simply the best , juiciest chop I ever had. I came into Austin with 2 days to enjoy. My associates offered up if I wanted to go to Shoal creek Saloon... More
I brought my son and his friends there for lunch on his birthday weekend. The deck in the back was very peaceful with a nice view of Shoal Creek and Duncan Park. They had a great time and the food was very good with large portions. The Cajun food, étouffée, was very good also and tasted like I've eaten in... More
I brought my boyfriend here for his first time eating crawfish. We were on our way from North Austin to New Braunfels and after researching, reading reviews and asking friends in the area for the best place in Austin, this is where I decided to go. It was a neat place to take him - the walls are decorated very... More
Shoal creek is authentic Austin. It's a bar that has good food. All New Orleans influenced they have their priorities straight. Freezing cold beer shots at the ready great crawfish in season or shrimp po boy all the time, the right sports on the big screens and of course the best shuffle board table in town. Don't go Shoal creek... More

We ordered Oyster (Oyster was average. I had better in Washington State) & crawfish boil (of course, beers too). This place is pretty laid back, price is right & the food was good. We ordered one of weekly special (which was a deep fried food) but it was really good. I thought the price is right & food had a... More
