Visiting Austin for the first time, I was centered in suburbia with nieces and nephew. In a break-away move, my sister and I decided to head to Austin. La Traviata tables were booked, but we decided took our chances anyway. The food was solidly good and Molly, the evening's chef, was delightful. (One of the advantages of sitting at the... More

One of the best Italian restaurants in Austin. The menu is well thought out. All food is prepared when ordered. Give it a try. More

What a pleasant surprise! Great bistro feal. Great menu with portion sizes that you can enjoy. We got in before it was booked up, but this place filled up quickly. Would recommend this place, and we will be back! More

I'm the type of person that I like to find out what a restaurant does best and I tend to order it every time. I've been to this restaurant 3 times, the first time I had Spaghetti Carbonara with a fig salad and it was the best I've ever had. The second time I had a dish that was okay... More

On a rainy night in December, my friend and I were hurrying down Congress Avenue back to where our car was parked so we could head to Clay Pit for dinner. We passed by La Traviata and decided to give it a try instead. The ambiance was lovely, and we got a seat by the window so we could do... More

Everything about this place is unexpected--a French Brasserie style ambiance, very good Northern Italian selections but limited pasta choices and good wine list. Wine & Beer are the only alcohol choices which is unfortunately par for the most part in Austin. Their roasted red peppers with capers and "ceviche-style" anchovies over Buffalo mozzarella was quite a surprise and delicious. Will... More

On a vacation in Texas, my husband and I stumbled upon this tiny restaurant and decided to eat there later. We made reservations (very tiny place) and were not disappointed. I ordered the special which was the spinach ravioli in marinara sauce. It was EXCELLENT....mild sauce and tender pasta. My husband had (in his words) the best salmon he has... More

This was my second time at La Traviata. We decided to go back because it was so wonderful the first time. We called ahead to make reservations because they were recommended last time. Since it was a weekday it was not very busy. The place is not very big, one side is the bar and on the other, exposed stone... More
