We went to Wink recently to celebrate our son's graduation from UT Austin. We had discovered this wonderful farm to table restaurant over the course of his time in school in Austin. It was a regular part of our itinerary for every visit and for good reason. It is a phenomenal restaurant in every aspect. The food is always just... More

This is a no holds barred great restaurant. The foie gras was stupendous. Perfectly cooked with a mildly vinegary sauce that took my breath away. My wife's PEI mussels were tender, juicy with a hint of lime to make them delectable. I then had the Red Fish with Kennebec potatoes and yellow wax beans. Wonderful fish, cooked to perfection with... We were big fans of Zoot, and when they moved to Bee Cave it became our go-to for a great meal. When Zoot evolved to BC Tavern it was an even closer match for us, and weekly visits were typical. All things must pass, and the suburban economy simply could not support BC. Thankfully we still have its sister, Wink.... More

I had the pleasure of dining at Wink while at a conference and the food was exquisite. Don't let the location fool you, what's inside this small eatery will make a big impression. My friend and i both took the first bite of our entree's and simultaneously said "Ahhh". The beet salad was delicious and full of flavor and my... More

Very friendly staff and excellent food. All the items were well seasoned and I enjoyed every bite. Shared the hamachi sashimi and a salad to start. Both excellent. I had the seared scallops and enjoyed every bite. The other guests had red fish and they both enjoyed it. The chocolate dessert was a little heavy but the lemon meringue pot... More

Wink, located near downtown Austin, is a superb dining experience equivalent to a fine restaurant tucked away in the heart of France. From the amuse bouche to the dessert trio, every course was a gastronomic delight. Truly a dining experience to delight your senses.

My wife and I recently ate at Wink to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary (not the first one celebrated here since arriving in 2003!). I like the portions here. They allow you to enjoy a starter, a main course and still have room for something delectable for dessert. One tip - don't read the menu online. Invariably you'll see something... More

Went to Wink based on TripAdvisor recommendation during SXSW Interactive. Definitely exceeded expectations in every way. I had the 5 course tasting menu with the paired wines and enjoyed every bite. The restaurant was totally booked due to SXSW and very busy, but the service was superb from beginning to end, in a most friendly and helpful way without being... More

Imaginative and fresh food-- interesting combinations -- like that some choices have both starter and entree portions

First things first, this place is located behind whole earth provision so you won't see it from the street. My wife and I dropped in after reading a review. While the restaurant was full for the evening with reservations, Mark, who I believe is the owner was very friendly, and walked us to the wine bar next door which also... More
