We were a party of six dining on a Wednesday night. The place was packed. It was so noisy that we could not hear our server describing the dishes. The food is artfully designed and presented. Let's be frank, raw fish is raw fish. It is the sauces that make the dish and the combinations of textures accompanying the fish.... More

First off, my husband and I visited on a Friday night at around 6:30 with no reservations (I know, we're insane) and, incredibly, were seated immediately at the bar. I have no idea how this happened; clearly we got lucky or the hostess thought my husband was a cutie. Perhaps we just beat the rush? Anyway, our waitress and our... More

If you are willing to spend some money - AND you have a special event for celebrate (or not) - this is the place for you. Make your reservations at least a week out so you won't be disappointed. Pick 3-4 different items from the menu (each) and share them with your date, except the Tempura Onion Rings - you... More

I went to Uchiko for my birthday and had a great meal. The service was excellent and our waitress explained the dishes perfectly. It was a real treat and I can't wait for another special occasion to go back.

An amazing meal, great waiter, classy atmosphere. Some of the combinations had a lot of flavors, more than I'm used to with sushi, but all were spectacular.

We went with friend who live in Austin. They had told us a month ago that they made reservations. The restaurant only makes a limited number of reservations, so this was not unreasonable. One of our party was gluten free and they were very knowledgeable about GF. They also had GF soy sauce. We had sashimi. The scallop was perfection.... More

Food is excellent. Great to share small plates with the table. Only problem is the wait. We made a reservation 2 weeks in advance for 3, only available was 9:30pm and we didn't sit unitl almost 10. Same happend prior visit, note both on Saturaday.

They were so packed it was a 2 hour wait, so we eventually sat in the bar. What a fantastic place to eat. We ordered a bunch of smaller dishes, everything was excellent. Save room for the fried milk dessert!

This is an excellent date-night restaurant for a delicious, modern-take on sushi. The "Sake" Happy Hour menu and prices are unbeatable and the brussel sprouts are the best you'll ever taste. Make sure you have a reservation!
