The portions are huge and very filling! The staff is very welcoming. Although it's quite packed, it's well worth waiting for! We'll be going back!

We always loved the Dixie Pig when I was stationed in Abilene. A local favorite with good food/coffee and even better stories from the norms...ie..old men who eat there everyday. It is a great and comfortable local institutions.

Old time restaurant with homecooked meals. Locals seem to love it.

The prices were very reasonable and the food was good and fresh. It is a real taste of authentic local cafe fare. They are open for breakfast and lunch only.

Oh yes, and for those who care - and I know you're out there, yes, they have grits. It isn't on the menu - and our waitress...

The Dixie Pig has been around forever. So have several of the waitresses. Breakfast is excellent. Eggs, bacon, pancakes and biscuits and cream gravy. All recommended. Lunch? If you are there when fried chicken is the special of the day, don't even think about ordering anything else. Good food. Good prices. Authentic diner "decor." Even the name is authentic, from...
