Sometimes when you're traveling, you want a nice salad bar and some crunchy tofu and even that ultimate comfort food, lentil loaf! For about $8 a person, you can load up on such a variety of salads and fresh fruit. You can eat it in the little dining nook and wash it down with free water. This coop is a... More

Freshest food outside of a farmers' market. It is definitely not cheap to shop here but you can count on quality. They have the best fish in Ashland. Everything is organic so don't' come here for the kind of stuff you might go to Safeway for. I would not buy everything here, but for produce, cheese, meats, fish, bread, it's... More

The co-op is great in a lot of ways, even though the parking lot is INSANE. Always crowded with people aggressively circling in their hybrids and subarus. BUT, if you don't know the "deal" the staff (or owners?) are real jerks to you. Okay, so you have to bag your own stuff and you have to find the bags/boxes to... More

Whatever you're looking for, you can find it at the Co-op. Mainly locally sourced fruits and veggies, emphasis on organic and local throughout the store, plus good customer service. Hot and cold deli bars have a terrific variety of delicious foods.

First off, this isn't a restaurant, it's a grocery store deli. The dining areas (indoor and outdoor) are crammed and dirty. Rarely are tables wiped off. The food is good tasting but severely overpriced (yes, I've eaten at MANY co-op's and natural stores and I've never paid $23 for a medium size box of hot food!). Many ashland locals and... More

The Ashland Food Coop has high prices, people dressed as if it's Halloween, and quite a bit of selection crammed into a compact space. The parking lot is impossibly packed and the aisles are jammed with people gabbing. The prepared food is fairly good, but it is difficult to time it so that you can get a selection that is... More

Maybe I haven't been to all that many food co-ops, but this one is EXCELLENT. As other reviewers have already pointed out...you need to have time to wander and enjoy this place. The selections are awesome. The deli is fabulous and of course yummy. It's a great place to shop for your picnic essentials or kitchen stocking. If I was... More

Ever want a day off to get away from everyone and everything? This is the perfect place to go, wander, take your time, and enjoy. It's also a special place to bring out-of-town guests if they're interested in organic healthy foods. It feels good to just be there. Nice place to buy a special gift for your spiritual or natural-type... More

This is the place to go if you need a nutritional supplement or an alternative medicine. Help is friendly and knowledable and the food is fresh , exotic and of course , all sorts of "organic"choices. It is a circus too, best place to see hippees and earth muffins of all ages, but then again, this is Ashalnd,!

Fresh, organic produce and helpful, friendly, knowledgeable staff make this store a joy and incredible blessing! We live 2 hours away, yet drive there for all of our grocery shopping. This place is a GEM!!
