This quiet, mediterranean restaurant is a must visit in Athens. Pass on the other "popular" places, and head here! Great food, great service. Can't ask for more - and all with a local flavor you will love.

This restaurant has it all---fantastic and interesting food, great service (including helping me find different places on a map), wonderful atmosphere. I walked there from OU campus so not sure about the parking, but it was a nice walk. Don't miss it.
The food is good but a little pricey. The bread is good and salads. Service was a little slow and out of it. Desert was burnt.
The title says it all. It is an authentic middle easter/greek restaurant in a small town in Ohio which is usually hard to come by in small towns. It is a fancy restaurant and the decor is pretty neat. The waiters do need to be a little politer and more attentive but the food does justice to the prices.
Extremely over-priced, by far the greasiest Spanakopita I have ever had & cost $17!! Falafel was over-cooked & therefore dried out, & the Hummus was just average. The quality of food was WAY below what I expected for the price.
This is a great place to eat in Athens. The lamb is particularly delicious and the hummus is also amazing. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and the service was great. However, it is not the cheapest, but is definitely worth the money.
Been twice. Food excellent. Loved artichoke dip, chicken beet salad, appetizers, bread. Great textiles from table to walls for that souk atmosphere. My fav in Athens!
I like Salaam...partially due to the paucity of good eateries in town. But I'm getting tired of the SLOW service, overcooked and dry proteins, and dishes to which careful attention is not paid. Mushy, overly ripened tomatoes, for example, (dis)graced my salad the last time around. The lentil soup was bland. And the owners have little interest in changing such...

Best innovative food in Athens. Try the specials --steak, fish, vegetarian - and the appetizers. All good.
Last time I ate the wonderful food at Salaam the place was hopping with patrons which I blamed for the slow service. This time the food was still awesome, but the place was nearly deserted. Service was unbearably slow and our waiter bailed on us halfway through the meal leaving a colleague to finish our service and collect the tab..she...
