I once went to top hats to celebrate my friends birthday, and we ordered the set meal. The salad came first and it was just ordinary. Then came the main course, mushroom pie, it's really nice, juicy. They weren't stingy on the fillings. Next the créme brûlée. The waitresses were so friendly that they've got a candle on the cake... More

A little different presentation of some local treats, its a nice option for either a romantic or business dinner. Do try the namesake dish. More

The signature item, top hats, were good, but not great. The top hats at Little Penang in KLCC are MUCH better. The rest of the meal was pleasant, well-prepared, with good service, but not too memorable. More

We visited Top Hat having read a review in our guidebook and because it offered both Malaysian and Western food which suited our party. Having eaten for the past few nights in our hotel we also liked the idea that this restaurant was situated in a 1930s bungalow in it's own grounds and had a bit of character. We were... More

Top Hat is located in a old colonial bungalow in the heart of KL. The atmosphere is warm and appealing. And the menu is mostly Western, with a column of dishes that are called "local delicacies" thrown in. My wife ordered the Nyonya Platter (expensive at RM 49), and was not disappointed: a huge platter with a sampling of Nyonya... More

Good selection of set menu. The appetizer was to small and it's more like an amuse-bouch. More

I went there with my friend and fiance for trying nonya food which my friend recommended. The pricing is medium to high. a single dish ranged from RM10 to RM100. Their signature dish "Top Hat" is quite a nice appetizer. The internal deco is good. I ordered a beer and a seafood noodle. Was a wrong decisions. Although the paste... More

MY spouse and I were there for his birthday dinner. We both had the set meal which we thought was value for the money. The appetizer portions were big, the main course tasty and the desert was delicious. We ended the dinner with a nice cup of coffee. The only setback was when I called to do the reservation, I...
