One of our favourite restaurants, we've dined at Cilantro countless times these past few years. And each time, we are convinced Cilantro deserves a Michelin star for their fantastic food! Chef Takashi Kimura impresses each time with his fine Japanese-French fare.
As servings are rather dainty, we usually go for the four-course set menu (RM245++ for two starters, one main...

We had the 3 course dinner menu here. We enjoyed the food. It was good. Starter and main were good and desert was very good. But for the price and the hype we felt disappointed at the overall experience. The restaurant is located off a hotel lobby, and all the windows are covered with blinds. This was mainly because of...

Modern restaurant; Japanese chef with French and Japanese ingredients prepared in a French and Japanese style. Creative. Different. Unusual tastes, textures, flavours. Excellent wine list. Environment a bit "hotel". Expensive for KL. Moderate on an international scale. (Tasting menu approx $100 (USD).
Worth a visit for some good food when you are bored with the local spicy fare!

They were so loud that everyone else in the...

Cilantro is a fine dining restaurant that blends the best of French and Japanese cuisine with a good selection of wines. My wife and I have visited Cilantro over the years and they have never disappointed. There is an improvement in the availability of fine wines and a menu which allows a diner to choose (tasting: a starter, a main...

Cilantro always has a special place for me personally as it was where I proposed to my wife. Ever since then we have always been going back for anniversary dinners, birthdays and those special occasions. Chef Takashi is truly a genius. The secret lies in his meticulous attention to quality of ingredients, a lot of which he grows himself in...

Funny seating arrangements.
Room too brightly lit - a bit too bright for comfort - not for football game!
Good wine list, but not well stocked
Food good proportions
Delicate flavours and skillfully touched by Japanese chef. Well done!
Wait staff are not very well trained on the food and wine - need work on these.
Serving etiquette can be...
