I loved this restaurant! As other people have said it is tricky to find without directions so it helps to look it up online first. Once you walk down the tiny alleyway it does feel like you are walking into someone's house but you are in the right place! It is very small but great food and well worth searching... More

Vegetarian food isnt easy to come by in Japan so we were very happy to find Mikoan. We ordered two vegetarian sets which were 1000yen each but each set was different and we were told to share. The food was cooked in front of us and was delicious. The setting is unusual. You enter through a small alleyway and enter... More

My husband and I went to have dinner at Mikoan. for 1000 yen you can't go wrong. She gave us each a different set so we got to try 10 different dishes, plus miso soup and a generous bowl of brown rice. Everything was delicious! There was a fake fried chicken that was just exceptional. I can't wait to go... More

I've eaten at this tiny hole-in-the-wall with funky peace-poster and cat decoration several times. The food is prepared to order, served perfectly cooked, and is always fascinating. (Don't go if untidiness disturbs you!) You sit at the counter, she cooks right in front of your eyes, and hands the tray to go as soon as it's ready. An experience worth... More

This place is really quite hard to find. Had to ask a nearby shop keeper who didn't speak a word of English. He was really nice & walked us to the small alley that led to the restaurant. Once inside, we felt like we were inside someone's house. It had a cluttered home feel with seating for about 10 at... More

Not easy to find - tucked along an alleyway. With just a sign saying "Vegetarian bar" to show where it was.. And once inside we realised this was more like someones house than a restaurant.. But we took a seat and the very nice lady showed us a menu.. We both took the Vegetarian Set and waited to see what... More
