I was in awe when we entered the restaurant seeing those big light decorations on the ceiling. I also liked that most of their seats are couches which people prefer all the time.except for a slightly careless dangling serving utensils as food was being served (this restaurant after all prides itself as “fine dine” – the waitress said so), every... I was in Manila early this month, and a large part of my annual visit is going to different eating places to sample varied Filipino dishes. A couple of friends recommended Mesa in Greenbelt so I went with my sister. The staff was cheerful & welcoming, but quickly realized that they hover about too much. They park themselves too close... My three cousins and I visited this restaurant, as it was my last dinner with them before heading back to the States. A couple of them had been here before. It was my first time. Overall, a good choice for Filipino food, although I wonder which part is "moderne." Given the plentiful choices for Filipino cuisine in Greenbelt alone, I... More

Bevs our waitress was one super lady over lunch today. She was attentive and very helpful in making choices. Our food came in under 10 minutes and in the proper order - appetizers first. The ordinary squid was treated in a special way in their appetizers menu. We tried all of their "specials" and we were not disappointed. The river... More

Branch: Megamall, Ortigas Center, Pasig City - Food is great as always; service was quick as well as the food orders - We had Laing 2 ways, Bangus belly, Tinapa Roll (must try!), Sisig in a pouch (too oily, if you ask me), sago't gulaman I brought our visiting business partner there who's American-Italian, and he loved the food. 3 of us walked around and around the Greenbelts before choosing Mesa and were very happy with our choice. We were seated in a comfortable private booth and offered an extensive menu to choose from. We chose to share the Garlic butter oysters, the Pork Sticks and also another item with lettuce and fish on serving spoons all of these... More

We had weekday lunch here, and got in just in time without reservations (around 1145am) before the restaurant got busy. Of the three dishes we ordered, the laing 2 ways (taro leaves in coconut mik, PHP150) stood out; we give it 4 out of 5. Note that this is not a vegetarian dish and seems to have shrimp paste and... This used to be my favorite restaurant. Two years in a row, we ordered from Mesa our New Year's Day lunch. Our guest (over a dozen) always loved the food. This year we're ordering from somewhere else. Reasons are due to my disappointment in my last 2 visits to the restaurant, namely: - Food quality has deteriorated. The crispy boneless... More

The service was super slow. But that was our experience everywhere in the Philippines. The ambiance and the location were the best part. The food was ok, not great. We expected more from our first local meal. The best dish was the fried fish with 4 sauces. Picture attached. Coconut juice was best we tried. More
