Service was moderate but food was totally a zero. Never been to a fine dining place worst than this one!

Based on favorable TA reviews we visited he Jambu Restaurant and came away wholly pleased. A ten minute taxi ride took us from the hotel to the restaurant, housed in a classic villa from the 1930's. Owned and operated by a couple of Brits, Jambu's interior is rather classy, tables are decked out with table clothes, linen napkins, and the... More

My wife and I dinned here twice on our recent trip to Kuching. It’s about 5 mins outside of Kuching and is set in what appears to be an old colonial building. Food was excellent and the restaurant had a informal cosy atmosphere. The bar downstairs was very welcoming and the hosts Chris and his wife were very friendly and... More

We stopped by for a quick bite and ended up staying for a couple of hours chatting with the owner, Chris and his wife, Ashfa. They were friendly and gave us some great ideas of places to go while in Kuching. The food was nice and the tapas options were a good size and very tasty. I highly recommend stopping... More

I was visiting my cousin in Kuching and he took me to this place for a drink in the evening. The place has a life of its own. I have to give it to them for the ambiance. I have not eaten in a more peaceful, chic and yet classy surroundings in Malaysia. The wood work and lots of greens... More

Had a rather disapointing evening in Jambu. I wont go into too much detail as we have read the excuses from the owner on previous reviews. After a long wait (40 mins) for tapas we were served raw chicken. There is no excuse for that. We were offered calamari on the house, and ironically it was very overcooked and rubbery.... More

Dear Guests, Agreed and i have no excuses that the Chicken Boxing u ordered was undercooked and raw on the bone - correct. I actually served you throughout your meal on Tuesday, 20th November and did speak to our chef in charge of the frying section - he must have pulled them out a little too soon. I did offer... More

Took my mum out expecting a good dinner experience. We were the only two people in the restaurant at that time. We ordered soup (mushroom and seafood chowder ) which took ages to arrive and when they did come it was terribly disappointing. Diluted and tasteless. The main meal than took another half an hour to come after the soup... More

Dear Guests, Having spoken to my waiter, he mentioned that your mother finished off both of the soups. To note that our soups are made from the real ingredients - for mushroom soup we use 4 types of mushrooms and for the seafood chowder a fish stock base. We try to leave 20mins between each course, so including the starters... More
