We took a stroll through Red Garden in hopes of finding some great local street food. We looked at each menu and each stall, and couldn't find anything we wanted to eat. Most menus had pork and were not Halal so we couldn't eat there, but beyond that the menu choices just didn't sound interesting or appetizing. The one good... More

Only non-SEAsian tourists will like the food here. Mostly overpriced and low quality local food but one or two stalls are ok. The satay is especially BAD - full of msg that left me thirsty the entire night. Prawn noodle and bak kut teh are alright. You can get much better food nearby.

If you want a real food experience, this is the place to go as there are so many choices. You can take your own wine, but thry will charge a corkage fee of RM15, which is fair enough. Don't have the fried soft shelled crab though, as it is all claws and no meat

I was not impressed with this night market as it felt oo much like a tourist trap. Its conveniently located though.

Red Garden has a full spectrum mix of travelers. And great karaoke like entertainment. We tried some food here and it was hit or miss. The lemongrass fried chicken was good. As was the duck rice. Otherwise this is a place to drink beer and have a good time. We loved it.

On a hot sticky Georgetown night, we enjoyed a cold Tiger and a selection of food from the various stalls sitting under huge fans. Food was reasonable quality as you would expect from a venue such as this.

The hawker stalls were good but i felt they were catering for the tourists mostly. It was centrally located but not too many of thge locals frequenting the market.

Cheap hawker food and lively ambiance! It is one huge restaurant with myriad of stalls offering different cuisines at an affordable price. Less than MYR10 if you are going for an ala carte. The satay we had was excellent, we kept ordering for more! The so called "beer girls" were a tad pushy even though they were selling quite well.... More
