If you love Turkish food, you cannot go past the Hungry Monkey when you next visit Langkawi. We stayed in Langkawi for 1 week and ate (or got take-away) 3 times. It is great food and a lovely atmosphere. We love eating here, as does our 4 year old daughter.
I ordered a T bone steak that looked thick, juicy, big and medium rare in the picture on the menu. The actual steak arrived thin, small, well done and covered in black pepper mushroom sauce. When I rejected the meal, the owner and another person (lady) became abusive, insisting that I pay for the meal and then pay full price...

The portion were a little small but it was good, very nice owner and lovely staff... The desert is a must!
We went there for lunch today and it was absolutely brilliant!
The VERY sweet waiter was so serviece minded and the place was very clean - including the restrooms. Open kitchen which is a nice thing!
We got Ezme, humus, babaganuc and mixed kofte - everything was just GOOD!

The mezzes were excellent, specially the humus. The chicken doner was also very good. The other main courses left us wanting as some were partially cooked and others were too sweet and the fish was bland. AS
Otherwise known as Turkish Delight. It has great food, and you will never leave hungry, there is so much to choose from, & the staff will explain what things are.
This place is average and very overpriced. The people waiting on the ten if us were doing their best but the management or owners were not at all welcoming and made us feel like we were intruding on them. The food is very expensive for Langkawi and after spending time in Turkey myself, it is far from 'authentic Turkish' food....

We found the food to be good quality but not very Authentic compared to the food in Turkey. It could be that the meat and spices are not available in Malaysia im not sure. A little expensive we ordered the mixed platter for 2 i think the chips on the side ruined the platter and gave it a more western...

A friend introduced me to this interesting Cafe and not only is the interior decor 'fun'...(with all the movie star photos). Food great!
Kabobs are tasty and thankfully not drowning in salt & garlic the way some places tend to prepare. Very filling meal with ample serving sizes. Could easily split one meal between 2 people...
